"The Dance of Chaos" is the first of the songs that will compose Sargaço Nightclub's second album, to be released in 2022, and it is the single that opens this year! The music was composed by guitarist Carlos H, a collaborator of the band, the lyrics are by Marrê, vocalist and guitarist of the group. The production was in charge of Zeca Viana, who worked in his home studio in Recife.
The instrumental is anchored by an electronic beat with tones reminiscent of industrial rock, which are balanced with swinging bass, Carlos H's post-punk guitars and Ingno Silva's precise synthesizers.
With the departure of singer Sofia França, officially announced in November 2021, Marrê faced the challenge of assuming the voices of Sargaço alone. In "The dance of chaos", he proposed to create two characters for the song: The "journalist", who is the acidic and ironic voice that denounces the atrocities of the chaotic reality of Brazilian politics, and the "Governant", who is he distances himself from the facts and limits himself to relegating his duty as an authority. All this added to the vocals that remind us of 90's britpop bands, such as Blur, Kasabian and Suede.
